The Story Behind @atquoh
Hey, I’m Mike — aka @atquoh online.
I’m a passionate video editor, colorist, and typographer who crafts visuals that tell stories and evoke emotion. With over four years of experience working with brands like Columbia Records, BET, and Mission Outdoor, I bring a sharp eye for detail and a deep love for color grading that makes every frame pop.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media with minors in Graphic Design and Film, which gave me a strong foundation in storytelling, aesthetics, and technical skills. My journey started with a fascination for how images move and change, originally sparked by editing video game footage—like Skate 3—which helped me develop a strong sense of timing, pacing, and visual impact. From there, it quickly evolved into a career blending motion, color, and typography into compelling visual narratives.
My creative style is deeply influenced by the innovative storytelling of Donald Glover and the cinematic vision of director Hiro Murai. Their unique ability to blend culture, emotion, and striking visuals inspires my approach to color grading and editing. I’m also drawn to minimalist graphic design, which shapes how I approach typography — clean, intentional, and impactful.
From editing dynamic video content to fine-tuning hues and tones in DaVinci Resolve, to designing clean, impactful typography, my goal is to deliver work that’s both polished and creatively bold. Whether I’m collaborating on a music video, commercial, or social media campaign, I strive to blend technical skill with artistic intuition.
This site is my portfolio and playground — a place to share the projects I’m proud of and the craft that drives me. Thanks for stopping by, and let’s make something amazing together.
